Proactive Retention
Sarah usually visits every 3 weeks but hasn't been in for 5 weeks. The system flags her as High Risk on your at-risk list, and you can send her a personalized win-back email in one click — with a discount if you choose to offer one.
Owner Dashboard
The owner checks the churn dashboard Monday morning and sees 8 clients at Critical risk. She reviews each one and decides to have their preferred technician personally reach out.
How can a nail salon tell when a regular client is about to stop coming?
By watching each client against their own rhythm instead of one cut-off date. Tilavon works out how many days a client normally leaves between visits, using their completed visits -- at least three of them -- then counts how far past that gap they now are. The further past due, the higher the risk: Medium, High, or Critical. A client who was always irregular is scored more gently, because a late visit says less about them. The list refreshes every night and shows what each client has spent with you and which technician they prefer, so you can send a win-back email -- to one client or to a group -- with an optional discount. The same client will not be sent another win-back within 30 days.
Frequently Asked Questions About Client Churn Prediction & Retention
Common questions salon and barbershop owners ask about this feature
Tilavon looks at each client's completed, paid visits and works out their own normal gap between visits -- every three weeks for one client, every eight for another. It needs at least three visits before it will judge anyone. Once a client goes past their normal gap, Tilavon scores how overdue they are relative to that gap and labels them Medium, High, or Critical. Clients whose visits were always irregular are scored more gently, because with them a late visit means less. The whole list is recalculated every night.
From the at-risk list you send a win-back email -- one client, or a whole group at once -- and you can attach a discount and have it mention the technician they usually see. Tilavon will not send the same client another win-back within 30 days, so nobody gets pestered, and it tracks how many went out and how many clients came back. Win-back offers are promotional, so they go by email; text messages are reserved for appointment reminders and confirmations.
