Connecting QuickBooks

Navigate to Settings > Integrations > QuickBooks in your Tilavon dashboard. Click "Connect to QuickBooks" and sign in with your Intuit account. Authorize Tilavon to access your QuickBooks company, and the connection is established instantly.

What Syncs Automatically

Daily revenue totals, individual transactions, service category breakdowns, product sales, tips, refunds, and payroll journal entries all sync to QuickBooks automatically on a configurable daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Connecting Xero

Setting Up Calendar Sync

Each staff member can connect their Google Calendar in their profile settings. Go to My Profile > Calendar Integration > Google Calendar and sign in with Google. Choose whether to sync all appointments or only your own.

Two-Way Synchronization

Appointments created in Tilavon automatically appear on your Google Calendar with service details, client name, and duration. Personal events blocked on Google Calendar are reflected as unavailable times in Tilavon's booking system.

Integrations Dashboard

Access all integrations at Settings > Integrations. Each connected service shows its status (active, syncing, or error), last sync time, and configuration options. Disconnecting a service is as simple as clicking "Disconnect."

Sync Frequency

Most integrations sync data automatically throughout the day. Accounting integrations (QuickBooks, Xero) can be configured to sync daily, weekly, or monthly — including payroll journal entries. Calendar sync happens in real time. You can trigger a manual sync at any time by clicking "Sync Now."

Permissions & Access

Only salon owners and managers can connect or disconnect integrations. Individual staff members can connect personal calendar sync from their profile settings. All integration credentials are encrypted and stored securely.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If an integration stops working, here are common solutions to get back on track quickly.

Reconnecting a Service

If an integration shows an error status, try disconnecting and reconnecting. Go to Settings > Integrations, click the affected service, select "Disconnect," then click "Connect" to re-authorize. This resolves most token expiration issues.

Sync Errors

Check the sync log for specific error messages. Common issues include expired authorization tokens (resolved by reconnecting), QuickBooks account mapping conflicts (resolved in Account Mapping settings), and network timeouts (resolved by retrying the sync).
