Today's Appointments

The appointments tile is the centerpiece of your dashboard. It shows every appointment scheduled for today, organized chronologically with color-coded status indicators.

Timeline View

Appointments are displayed in a condensed timeline format showing the time, client name, service, and assigned technician. Upcoming appointments appear at the top, with completed ones moved to the bottom in a muted style.

Status Indicators

Each appointment shows a colored dot: blue for confirmed, green for checked in, yellow for in progress, and gray for completed. Overdue appointments that have not been checked in flash with a subtle animation to draw your attention.

Quick Access

Click any appointment to open its full details, including client contact information, service notes, and pricing. From the detail view, you can check in the client, reschedule, or cancel with one tap.

Waitlist & Turn Management

The waitlist tile shows all checked-in clients who are waiting for service. It is the pulse of your salon's front desk operations, especially during busy walk-in periods.

Client Queue

Each entry shows the client name, requested services, their assigned technician (if any), and how long they have been waiting. Clients are ordered by check-in time, with the longest-waiting client at the top.

Turn Assignment

When a technician finishes a service, the next client in the queue is automatically highlighted for assignment based on your turn rotation rules. Tap Assign to move the client to that technician, or manually reassign to a different one.

Wait Time Tracking

Average wait time is calculated and displayed at the top of the tile. If wait times exceed your configured threshold (default: 15 minutes), the tile header turns amber as a visual alert.

Quick Actions

The Quick Actions bar provides one-tap access to the tasks you perform most frequently, keeping you on the dashboard and saving navigation time.

Check In

Search for a client by name or phone, select their appointment, and mark them as checked in. The appointment moves to the waitlist automatically.

New Appointment

Open the appointment creation form pre-filled with today's date. Select the client, service, technician, and time slot to book instantly.

Process Payment

Select an active ticket from the dropdown to open the checkout screen. Process the payment, add a tip, and send the receipt without leaving the dashboard.

New Walk-In

Register a walk-in client with their requested services. Tilavon assigns the next available technician based on your turn rotation rules and adds the client to the waitlist.

Revenue Snapshot

The revenue tile gives you a real-time look at your salon's financial performance for the day without needing to open a full report.

Today's Revenue

The primary number shows total collected revenue for today, broken down by payment method: card, cash, and gift card. The tile updates in real time as each transaction is completed.

Trend Comparison

Below the total, a comparison line shows how today's revenue stacks up against the same day last week and your daily average for the month. Green arrows indicate you are ahead of pace; red arrows show you are behind.

Deep Dive into Reports

Click the revenue tile to jump directly to the full Reports page, where you can filter by date range, technician, service category, and payment method for detailed financial analysis.

Staff Availability

The staff availability tile shows the real-time status of every technician scheduled for today, so you always know who can take the next client.

Technician Status

Each technician shows one of four states: Available (green), With Client (blue), On Break (yellow), or Off (gray). The status updates automatically as appointments are started and completed.

Today's Schedule

Below each name, you see their scheduled hours for the day and how many appointments they have remaining. Tap a technician to view their full daily schedule or to manually update their status.

Recent Activity Feed

The activity feed provides a chronological log of everything happening in your salon, giving you a complete audit trail at a glance.

Activity Log

Entries include new bookings, check-ins, completed payments, cancellations, and schedule changes. Each entry shows the timestamp, action type, staff member involved, and relevant client details.

Alert Notifications

Important events like online booking cancellations, no-shows, or failed payments are highlighted with a colored badge so they stand out in the feed. Tap any entry to view full details.

Can I customize the dashboard?

The dashboard layout is optimized for salon workflows and displays the most important information automatically. While the tile arrangement is fixed, each tile updates in real time to reflect your salon's current state, and you can collapse sections you use less frequently.

How often does the dashboard refresh?

The dashboard refreshes automatically every 60 seconds. You can also pull to refresh on mobile or click the refresh icon in the top-right corner to get an immediate update of all tiles and metrics.

What do the waitlist numbers mean?

The waitlist tile shows the number of clients currently waiting for service, their average wait time, and the next available technician. Clients are ordered by check-in time, and the turn system automatically assigns the next available technician based on your rotation rules.

Can I process payments from the dashboard?

Yes. The Quick Actions bar includes a Process Payment button that lets you select an active ticket and complete checkout without navigating away. For full payment management, use the dedicated Payments page.
